LANCASTER, Pa. — The Endicott men's lacrosse team fell to Franklin & Marshall, 14-12, on Saturday afternoon at Shadek Stadium.
Nick Graap (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) led the way offensively with four goals, while Donovan Devellis (Norfolk, Mass.) and Brody MacDonald (Hanson, Mass.) both added hat-tricks.
Tommy Tyksinski (Guilderland, N.Y.) rounded out the scoring with two tallies along with three assists for a team-high five points.
In goal, Gio Panicola (Long Beach, N.Y.) tied a season-high with 16 saves as his record goes to 4-2.
The host Diplomats took a 4-2 at the end of the first quarter and then extended the lead to 5-2 in the early stages of the second period before consecutive goals from MacDonald brought the Gulls within one at 5-4. Franklin & Marshall found the back of the net with just over three minutes left prior to halftime which opened a 6-4 advantage at the break.
Goals from Ben Dale and Matt Marino extended the Diplomats' lead to 8-5 in the third quarter before Endicott once again fought back within one on Graap's goal at the 7:41 mark. The hosts led 10-8 after three and used two early goals in the fourth that made it a 12-8 game with a tick over nine minutes to play.
Graap tallied the next two and trimmed the deficit to a pair at 12-10, but the Gulls were unable to get any closer than two the rest of the way.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- First-ever meeting between the programs.
- The Diplomats are 3-1 at home this season.
- The Gulls dropped their first road game of the year (3-1).
- Second career hat-trick for MacDonald.
- Graap has scored three or more goals in five consecutive games.

WHAT'S NEXT
Endicott (4-2) will play Connecticut College in the consolation game tomorrow at 2:30 PM. Franklin & Marshall (5-2) advances to the championship where they will play the winner of Hamilton at 5 PM.
