BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's lacrosse team defeated Johnson & Wales, 23-5, in Conference of New England (CNE) action on Wednesday evening at Hempstead Stadium.
The Gulls raced out to a 10-0 lead with 5:47 remaining in the second quarter and were never threatened the rest of the way.
Tommy Tyksinski (Guilderland, N.Y.) potted four goals during the 10-goal run to lead the offense.
He finished the contest with a career-high-tying six goals and one assist.
Endicott also saw Brody MacDonald (Hanson, Mass.) register a hat-trick, while Adam Priest (Billerica, Mass.), Donovan Devellis (Norfolk, Mass.), Shane Dean (Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.), and Nick Graap (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) all notched multi-goal games.
Chris Hughes (North Kingstown, R.I.), Manny Marshall (Chelmsford, Mass.), Joey Bonanno (Redding, Conn.), Owen Meczkowski (New Market, Md.), Matt Wright (Oregon City, Ore.), and Travis Foster (Wells, Maine) rounded out the scoring with solo tallies.
In between the pipes, sophomore starter Gio Panicola (Long Beach, N.Y.) stopped four shots in 37:53 of action to move to 9-3 overall on the season.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Today's contest was the first-ever meeting between the programs.
- Endicott has won five straight games (all CNE contests).
- The Gulls are 4-1 at home this season.
