    BEVERLY, Mass. — The first-seeded Endicott men's lacrosse team (14-3) is set to host second-seeded Western New England (12-6) on Saturday, May 2nd at Hempstead Stadium at 12 PM for the Conference of New England (CNE) Championship game.

    Here's an inside look at Saturday's championship matchup.

    FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

    • This is the 15th all-time meeting in the championship game between the two programs, with the Golden Bears holding a 9-5 advantage
    • The Gulls won the regular season matchup back on April 22, 11-6. CNE Offensive Player of the Year Tommy Tyksinski (Guilderland, N.Y.) scored four goals and had assist for five points to lead the way. The Gulls defense held WNE scoreless for the entire second half to secure the road win.
    • Nationally, Endicott ranks No. 18 in scoring offense at 16.35 goals per game. Nick Graap (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) is No. 4 in Goals per Game at 4.25.
    • Western New England ranks 30th in Face-off winning percentage at 63.3 as CNE Specialist of the Year, Chris Catuosco is 35th across Division III at 65.7 percent.
    • Endicott is 7-1 at home this season, while the Golden Bears are 4-2 on the road.

    The winner of Saturday's matchup will earn the CNE Automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The loser will see its season come to a close.
