Gulls Can't Tame Panthers
Sept. 21, 2005
BEVERLY, MA - Freshman netminder Tyler Shute (Deerfield, NH/Bridgeton Academy) made freshman forward Semir Mehmedovic's (Franklin, NH/Franklin) tally in the 29th minute stand up for Plymouth State in a 1-0 shutout win over Endicott College Wednesday night at Endicott Stadium.
Senior midfielder Brad Wyman (Durham, NH/Oyster River) set up the Mehmedovic goal to bring the Panther's record to 6-0-1 overall (1-0-0 Little East Conference). The Gulls fell to 1-6-0 (1-2-0 CCC) in the non-conference game.
Senior Mariano Pagano (Buenos Aires, Argentina) had a chance to notch the equalizer for Endicott with under 10 minutes to play in regulation but Shute, who turned away five shots, made a diving stop on the strike.
Sophomore forward Pranam Lipinski (Adams, MA/Hoosac Valley) crossed the ball to Pagano from the left side and Pagano ripped a one-timer that was labeled for the right side of the goal. But Shute was equal to the task.
Senior midfielder Daniel Duvernoy (Hamilton, NY/Hamilton) played well for Endicott, which hosts Colby-Sawyer College Saturday in a key CCC contest.
