SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- The Endicott men's soccer team traveled to Springfield College for the last game of the regular season and came away with a thrilling 2-1 double overtime victory.

The Pride got on the board first at the 21:09 mark when Ian Zacharewicz (Stamford, Conn) netted his second goal of the season.

Endicott responded with less than 10 minutes left in the first half to tie the game 1-1 on a tally from Max Robbins (Longmeadow, Mass.)

Both teams continued to pressure offensively but the game remained tied through the end of regulation and the first overtime period.

Dario Neukom (Palma de Mallorca, Spain) broke the tie and gave the Gulls the golden goal at the 105:25 mark with help from Joshua Sousa (Dartmouth, Mass.).

  • Jack Bacon (Lincoln, R.I.) recorded a season-high 12 saves in net to earn the win.
  • The Pride held a 23-14 shot advantage throughout the contest.
  • Arian Pilja (Arlington, Mass.) was credited with an assist on Robbins' goal.
  • Today's contest was a rematch of last year's first-round NCAA contest. During that game, the Pride came away with a 1-0 win.

Endicott (10-5-2, 6-0-2 CCC) now waits for the seeds and pairings to be announced for the CCC Tournament which begins on Saturday, Oct. 27. Springfield (11-4-1, 4-1-1 NEWMAC) hosts Wheaton (Mass.) on Saturday, October 27th for a 12 PM start.
