In high school, he created community fridges around the city of Cambridge to create equitable opportunities for food access, creating joy kits for kids in underserved parts of the city complete with school supplies, books, and activities, volunteering at and partnering with food pantries, organizing and leading various demonstrations advocating for an end to police brutality and racial violence

Fun Facts

He loves writing and has won multiple awards over the years for poetry and essays. Athletically, his uncle, Marley Monteiro, was a professional soccer player in Cape Verde for various clubs and the national team. Marley was one of his earliest inspirations in pursuing excellence in sport
