SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — The Endicott men's soccer team was shut out by Western New England (WNE), 1-0, in Tuesday afternoon's Conference of New England (CNE) matchup at Suprenant Field.
After a scoreless first 45, the two teams remained deadlocked until the 55th minute of the contest. The Golden Bears capitalized on a scoring opportunity, taking a 1-0 lead they did not relinquish the rest of the way.
The Gulls earned themselves some set piece chances while trailing with 35 minutes to play, but they were unable to find an equalizer on the road.
Reigning CNE Defensive Player of the Week Ethan Harrison (Sandy Springs, Ga.) saved four of the Golden Bears' five shots on net in the contest. He fell to 1-1-1 on the year.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The all-time series stands deadlocked at 7-7-5.
