Men's Soccer Falls To Western New England, 1-0

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — The Endicott men's soccer team was shut out by Western New England (WNE), 1-0, in Tuesday afternoon's Conference of New England (CNE) matchup at Suprenant Field.

After a scoreless first 45, the two teams remained deadlocked until the 55th minute of the contest. The Golden Bears capitalized on a scoring opportunity, taking a 1-0 lead they did not relinquish the rest of the way.

The Gulls earned themselves some set piece chances while trailing with 35 minutes to play, but they were unable to find an equalizer on the road.

Reigning CNE Defensive Player of the Week Ethan Harrison (Sandy Springs, Ga.) saved four of the Golden Bears' five shots on net in the contest. He fell to 1-1-1 on the year.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

• The all-time series stands deadlocked at 7-7-5.
• The Gulls are 6-2-3 in the last 11 contests against the Golden Bears, dating back to 10/17/15.
• Matt Misiaszek (Londonderry, N.H.) made his second start of the season and logged a shot on net for the Gulls.
• The Blue and Green's defense limited the Golden Bears to just one shot on net in the second half.

Endicott (6-5-2, 4-3-0 CNE) heads to Nichols on Saturday for a 12 PM CNE matinee with the Bison. WNE (6-7-1, 5-2-0 CNE) heads to Wentworth on Saturday afternoon for a 12:30 PM CNE matchup.
