Locke won his \#1 singles match of Chargers sophomore Adam Whitman (Newcastle, N.H.) 7-5, 3-6, 10-3 and dropped his \#1 doubles match with Zach Arpey (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) 8-5 to the duo of Whitman and senior Rob Barnes (Wayland, Mass.).
Babcock and Nguyen lost 8-1 in \#2 doubles to Reeve Fidler (Groton, Mass.) and Zac Skyrme (Norwich, Vt.). Babcock also dropped his \#5 singles match 6-2, 2-6, 7-10 to Matt Trombley (Castleton, Vt.).
Endicott as a team, however, earned two forfeit wins as well as straight victories at the \#2, \#3, and \#4 singles matches to claim the 6-3 win.
The win moved Endicott’s record to 10-7 (8-3 TCCC), marking the third time in four years that the Gulls have earned double-digit win totals in a season. They surpassed their nine-win season from a year ago with today’s victory.
The Gulls, having already solidified their standing as the \#4 seed in the upcoming TCCC Tournament, will now wait until Monday, April 25th to play their quarterfinal opponent.
