DUDLEY, Mass. — The fourth-seeded Endicott men's tennis team fell to first-seeded Nichols College, 5-0, in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament semifinals on Wednesday evening at the Robinson Tennis Courts.
Nichols took the No. 2 (8-3), No. 3 (8-6), and No. 1 (8-4) doubles flights, in respective order, before coming away with victories at No. 2 (6-1, 6-1) and No. 5 (6-1, 6-1) singles to advance to the CCC Championship this Saturday. The Bison, who will be in search of their seventh-straight CCC title, will host No. 2 Eastern Nazarene at 12 PM. Meanwhile, Endicott's season comes to a close at 11-8 overall.
"We fought hard today in the heat, but ultimately Nichols was a little too tough," said Endicott men's tennis head coach Jeremy Howard. "I'd also like to say thank you to senior captain Christopher Kirkpatrick for everything he's done for this program. He put together a great season this year, but his career at Endicott was even more impressive."
