Men’s Tennis Blanks Curry, 7-0

MILTON, Mass. — The Endicott men's tennis team takes down Curry, 7-0, at the Trent J. Scott Tennis Courts in Conference of New England (CNE) play on Friday afternoon.

The Gulls dominated from start to finish on the road. 

In doubles action, No. 1 George Danes (Old Lyme, Conn.) / Patrick Johnson (Beverly, Mass.) and No. 2 Eric Scalici (Essex Falls, N.J.) / Brennan Drolet (North Smithfield, R.I.) each generated 6-0 victories to take the doubles point.

From there, Spencer Smith (Albany, N.Y.) (No. 2, 6-0, 6-0), James Zeolie (Amherst, N.H.) (No. 4, 6-0, 6-0), Scalici (No. 1, 6-1, 6-0), and Drolet (No. 3, 6-0, 6-1) all secured convincing triumphs to take the match. 

BEYOND THE BOX 

• Curry has lost 11 straight contests.
• The Gulls are 4-3 away from The Nest.
• Danes and Johnson teamed up for the first time this season in doubles action.
