CNE FIRST ROUND: No. 3 Endicott Handles No. 6 Wentworth, 4-0
BEVERLY, Mass. — The third-seeded Endicott men's tennis team took down sixth-seeded Wentworth, 4-0, on Saturday afternoon in the first round of the Conference of New England (CNE) Tournament at the South Campus Courts.
The Gulls earned the doubles point with ease by sweeping Doubles No. 2 and No. 3.
Drew Benporath (South Guildford, Western Australia) / Antonio Marsallo (Baldwinsville, N.Y) secured a 6-0 victory at No. 2, while Eric Scalici (Essex Fells, N.J.) / Spencer Smith (Albany, N.Y.) followed at No. 3 with a 6-0 win as well.
In singles action, Scalici delivered the second point of the match at No. 3, winning 6-1, 6-0.
Marsallo also clinched a victory at No. 4 singles (6-1, 6-0) to push the match score to 3-0. Aaron Terpko (Shrewsbury, Mass.) capped off a dominant performance (6-0, 6-0) at No. 5 singles to advance the Gulls into the CNE Semifinals

No. 3 Endicott (13-7) will travel to No. 2 seed Nichols College on Tuesday, April 28th at 3:30 PM for a CNE Semifinal showdown. No. 6 Wentworth will conclude their season at 6-9 overall.
