Kadel And Benporath Headline Men's Tennis CNE All-Conference Honorees
BEVERLY, Mass. — Six members of the Endicott men's tennis program have earned postseason honors from the Conference of New England (CNE), as announced by the league office today.
Conrad Kadel (Heidelberg, Germany) was named Player of the Year and Student-Athlete of the Year. Drew Benporath (South Guildford, Western Australia) was also honored as Rookie of the Year.
Benporath and Kadel were also selected to the All-CNE First Team in singles, while Eric Scalici (Essex Fells, N.J.) received second team singles honors.
In doubles, the pairings of Kadel / Aaron Terpko (Shrewsbury, Mass.) and Benporath / Antonio Marsallo (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) both earned All-CNE Second Team.
Lastly, James Zeolie (Amherst, N.H.) was named as the Gulls' representative on the CNE Community Service Team for his charitable contributions and outstanding leadership within the Endicott community.

Kadel becomes the second student-athlete in program history (first since 2002) to earn Player of the Year honors. Along with his Player of the Year award, the senior is the first student-athlete in program history to be named Scholar Athlete of the Year.
The Heidelberg, Germany native posted 11 wins during the season, with all 19 matches played in the No. 1 position. He posted a 7-1 record in conference matches, including three-set triumphs against Roger Williams and Hartford to end the regular season.
In doubles play with Terpko, the two seniors have combined for a 6-3 conference record as they entered the postseason on a four-match winning streak.
In the classroom, Kadel has a 3.7 GPA. Endicott College wrote a feature story about his senior year internship, which you can read about here.
This is Kadel's third consecutive all-conference singles award after being named to the First Team last season and the Second Team in 2024. Kadel and Terpko have now been named to the all-conference doubles team for the second consecutive year after earning third-team honors last season. Overall, Kadel has now been named to the all-conference doubles team all four years.

Benporath becomes the fifth student-athlete in program history and first since 2018 to be named conference Rookie of the Year.
The freshman has recorded an 11-6 overall record while going 8-1 in conference action. To start conference play, Benporath won his first seven matches with three consecutive three-set victories against Suffolk, Colby-Sawyer, and Nichols.
As a doubles pairing with Marsallo, the two have a 9-2 overall record along with a 6-1 CNE record. To end the season, Benporath and Marsallo won their final three matches and then earned a 6-0 victory in the CNE First Round against Wentworth and a 6-2 win in the CNE Semifinals.
This is Benporath's first career all-conference singles and doubles honors.
SEASON REVIEW
Endicott finished the season with a 13-8 record and went 10-1 in conference play, earning the No. 3 seed in the CNE tournament. The Gulls defeated No. 6 seed Wentworth 4-0 in the First Round before falling to No. 2 seed Nichols, 4-2, in the semifinals.
