NEVC CHAMPIONSHIP: No. 3 Men's Volleyball Falls To No. 1 Nichols, 3-1
DUDLEY, Mass. – The third-seeded Endicott men's volleyball team fell to first-seeded Nichols, 3-1, by scores of 12-25, 21-25, 25-20, and 20-25 in the New England Volleyball Conference (NEVC) Championship on Sunday afternoon at the Nichols Athletic Center.

Jake Laborde (Brookline, N.H.) led the way for Endicott with 13 kills adding two digs and a solo block.
Aidan Iacovelli (South Windsor, Conn.) had 11 putaways along with seven digs, a solo block, and an assist. Corey Klass Jr. (Beverly, Mass.) added eight kills to go with two blocks, one dig, and one service ace.
Thomas Matchett (North Smithfield, R.I.) recorded three kils, while Jackson Gray (Glenmont, N.Y.) and Matty Tiernan (Bradford, R.I.) each had one kill. Both Gray and Matchett had three solo blocks to lead Endicott.
Tiernan ran the Gulls offense all match with a match-high 31 assists and Dan Battista (Bethlehem, N.Y.) had 18 digs, also a match high. As a team, Endicott had four service aces with Nicholas Pascual (Clifton Park, N.Y.) leading the way with two.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Battista set a new career-high for digs.
- Sixth match this season with two or more aces for Pascual.
- Gray set a new career high for solo blocks.
WHAT'S NEXT
Nichols (19-14) earns the conference's automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Tournament. Endicott's season comes to a close with a record of 14-12.
