Men’s Volleyball Bests Bard, 3-1
ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. — The Endicott men's volleyball team defeated Bard College, 3-1, by scores of 25-18, 25-16, 23-25, and 25-17 in New England Volleyball Conference (NEVC) action on Saturday evening at the Stevenson Athletic Center.
Aidan Iacovelli (South Windsor, Conn.) guided the Gulls to their 12th straight victory behind a career-high 26 kills (.610) alongside seven digs and a 20-for-20 showing on serve-receive.
Iacovelli's 26-kill performance ranks fifth-best in program history for a four-set match.
Aaron Bennett (Haverhill, Mass.) chipped in with eight kills, while Jackson Gray (Glenmont, N.Y.) and Jake Laborde (Brookline, N.H.) both hit .400 or better with eight (.545) and seven kills (.400), respectively.
Matty Tiernan (Bradford, R.I.) facilitated an offense that produced a .418 hitting percentage with 48 assists on 90 attempts (.533).
The Gulls' best set of the night was the second, as the visitors notched a .625 (15K-0E-24TA) hitting percentage. Endicott closed out the final set with a .545 hitting percentage (13-1-22).
Defensively, Dan Battista (Bethlehem, N.Y.) compiled a match-high 21 digs.
Today's match featured nine ties (0-0-8-1) and six lead changes (0-0-5-1).
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott is 8-0 in the all-time series (five sweeps).
- The Gulls are 7-2 on the road this season.
- Iacovelli's set-by-set kills went as follows: 6 (.600), 6 (.750), 7 (.429), and 7 (.778).

Endicott (13-3, 3-0 NEVC) welcomes Rivier to MacDonald Gymnasium on Tuesday, March 10 at 7 PM. Bard (9-11, 1-2 NEVC) hosts Ramapo next Tuesday at 7:30 PM.
