Men’s Volleyball Tops Curry On Senior Day, 3-1
BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's volleyball team defeated Curry College, 3-1, by scores of 25-18, 25-14, 22-25, and 25-17 on Friday night at MacDonald Gymnasium.
Before first serve, the senior class of Aidan Iacovelli (South Windsor, Conn.), Adin Jepsky (San Jose, Calif.), Jake Laborde (Brookline, N.H.), Nicholas Pascual (Clifton Park, N.Y.), and Avery Tyson (Fayetteville, N.Y.) were honored for their contributions to the men's volleyball program and Endicott community in a pre-match ceremony.
Iacovelli powered the attack with a match-high 21 kills.
Aidan Barron (Amherst, N.Y.) and Laborde also chipped in with 13 and 10 putaways, respectively, to help the Gulls remain undefeated at home this season (8-0).
Pascual and Tyson rounded out the offense with five kills apiece.
Matty Tiernan (Bradford, R.I.) ran the attack via 47 assists on 108 attempts (.435).
Defensively, Jepsky and Pascual led the Gulls with 11 digs each.
Tonight's match featured 20 ties (2-1-12-5) and seven lead changes (1-0-5-1).
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott is 2-0 in the all-time series.
- The Gulls pushed their winning streak to 18 straight matches.
- Barron notched a career-high five blocks (one solo), all coming in the first set.
- He also set a new career high in kills (13).
- Curry entered tonight's contest riding back-to-back shutout wins over Hartwick and Wheaton (Mass.).

Endicott (19-3, 7-0 NEVC) hosts No. 13 Wentworth tomorrow at 1 PM. Curry (13-14, 1-6 NEVC) welcomes Fisher College and Russell Sage to its campus tomorrow (11 AM / 3 PM).
