Baldelli Leads the Gulls at Pop Crowell

Sophomore Scott Baldelli (Marlborough, MA/Marlborough) continues to prove that he is one of the top runners in the CCC this year. After just missing conference all-star status with his 11th place finish in last year's conference championship, Baldelli appears focused on not allowing history to repeat itself. Baldelli completed the rugged 8 kilometer Pop Crowell course in 29:15 Saturday. He narrowly missed an individual medal with his 17th place finish out of field of 151 runners. However, he finished 6th place against all other conference runners. Also of note Dan Slagen (Concord, MA/Concord-Carlisle) showed a remarkable improvement from last years performance. Sophomore Slagen finished with a time of 37:53, which is almost 6 minutes faster than he ran last season.
