Payne Earns Second Weekly Award of Season

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – For the second time this season, Greg Payne (N. Attleboro, Mass.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men’s cross country runner of the week.
Payne, a senior, finished fifteenth overall in a field of 306 runners at this weekend’s James Earley Invitational , hosted by Westfield State University. Payne ran the 8K course in a time of 26:57 and was the top runner in the event representing a CCC Institution.
Payne was previously named CCC runner of the week on September 20th this season. He and the Gulls cross country team will be back on the course this Saturday in Springfield at the Western New England Invitational.
