2021 Men’s Cross Country Season Preview

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's cross country team opens up its 2021 season on Wednesday, September 1 against crosstown rival Gordon College in the "Battle of the North Shore" in Wenham, Mass. at 5:30 PM. Here's what to look forward to for the upcoming season.

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

• Endicott is 3-0 overall versus Gordon in the "Battle of the North Shore" since the dual meet series was started in 2017.
• Wednesday's meet will also feature Salve Regina but the Seahawks won't factor into the "Battle of the North Shore" standings, just the overall meet results.
• Samuel Page (Plainville, Mass.) and Tyler Thornton (Reading, Mass.) have been selected as captains for this year's squad.
• The 2021 Gulls' roster features 13 student-athletes, including eight true freshmen, all of whom will look to build upon Endicott's fourth place finish at the 2019 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship.
• The Endicott Invitational, which is slated for Saturday, September 11 at Bradley Palmer State Park (Essex, Mass.), will feature nearly 10 teams from around the region.
