Men’s Cross Country Ranks 24th At Regionals
CONTOOCOOK, N.H. – The Endicott men's cross country team finished 24th overall out of 32 teams at the NCAA Division III East Regionals on Saturday evening, hosted at the Hopkinton State Fair Grounds.
MIT (42), Tufts (49), Colby (104), Bates (124), and WPI 136) made up the top-5 in today's meet, while Babson (223), Bowdoin (269), Keene State (294), Wentworth (327), and UMass Dartmouth (338) concluded the top-10.
Individually, Jonah Potach (Marblehead, Mass.) led the way for the Gulls with a personal best time of 27:37 (106th overall) on the 8-kilometer course.
Micah Erickson (Bismarck, N.D.), Jonathan Rodrigues (Walpole, Mass.), Caleb Sklar (Portland, Ore.), and Henry Bybee (Hampton, N.H.) rounded out the rest of Endicott's scoring lineup.
The quarter posted times of 27:57 (123rd), 28:40 (139th, PR), 29:07 (154th), and 29:38 (163rd).
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Endicott's top-5 average was 29:15 (2:55 differential).
- The Gulls finished ahead of Framingham State, Nichols, Emerson, Worcester State, Curry, Emmanuel (Mass.), Lesley, and Colby-Sawyer.
- Erickson, Potach, Sklar, Rodrigues, and Will Johnson (Andover, Mass.) made their NCAA Division III East Regionals debut today.
- Johnson posted a personal best time of 30:06 (171st overall).
- Bybee and Dimitri Kontos (Lexington, Mass.) improved their times in comparison to last year's regionals.
