CNE CHAMPIONSHIP: No. 1 Softball Hosts No. 2 Roger Williams On Sunday
BEVERLY, Mass. — The first-seeded Endicott softball team hosts second-seeded Roger Williams in the Conference of New England (CNE) Championship on Sunday at 11 AM. Roger Williams needs just one win to capture the CNE Championship, while Endicott has to defeat the Hawks twice to hoist the conference title. The if-necessary game would occur approximately 30 minutes after game one.

- Roger Williams makes its return to the championship round for the first time since 2024.
- The Hawks have not won a conference title since 2013 (runner-ups in 2016, 2017, and 2024).
- Endicott has secured its spot in the conference championship for the first time since 2023; that season, the Gulls claimed their fourth-straight title (2019, 2021-23) with a pair of wins over Western New England (11-3, 6 inn. | 8-0, 6 inn.).
- Roger Williams enters Sunday with the league's best earned run average (ERA) at 2.48 and the third-best hitting splits (.312/.369/.463).
- The Gulls rank second in ERA (2.72) and batting average of .319, alongside a .393 on-base percentage and a .438 slugging percentage.

The winner of Sunday's championship round will earn the conference's automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Softball Tournament. The field will be announced on Monday, May 11 at 11 AM (EST) on NCAA.com.
