Gulls Drop Third Straight, Lose to Emmanuel
Dec. 8, 2007
BOSTON, MA - Senior guard Jade Paez (Bronx, NY/Monsignor Scanlan) scored a team-high 18 points along with teammate Iman Davis (Toms River, NJ/St. George's) to lead Emmanuel College past Endicott College, 78-60, in a non-conference women's basketball game in Boston, Massachusetts.
A back-and-forth opening half saw the Saints take a slight five-point lead into the break as the strong combination of Paez and Davis proved to be a potent duo for Emmanuel on the offensive end.
The second-half belonged to Emmanuel as the Saints were able to build a decisive 30 point lead with 6:36 left in regulation. The home team's defense was impressive as the Gulls once again had issues handling the ball, turning the rock over 35 times resulting in 33 Emmanuel points.
Endicott was led by a game-high 20 point effort from Nicole Duchesne (Plaistow, NH/Central Catholic). Ceciley Chisholm (Lexington, MA/Lexington) came just one point shy of a double-double, as she grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds and scored nine points in the loss. Chisholm also made seven steals for Endicott.
The loss sets the Gulls back to 3-4 overall (0-0 TCCC), as the Blue and Green have now lost three-straight after opening the season 3-1. Endicott will close out the semester on Wednesday evening as they will host Emerson College at 7:00 p.m. in Beverly, Mass.
