Duchesne garners Conference honors

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Endicott College senior Nicole Duchesne (Plaistow, N.H.) was named The Commonwealth Coast Conference Player of the Week this week as announced by TCCC Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye on Monday. Duchesne and the Gulls went 2-0 last week as they traveled on the road for two TCCC matchups against Anna Maria and Wentworth, winning both in convincing fashion - a 72-25 win over the AMCATS and a 81-49 victory over the Leopards.
In the first win of the week for the Gulls, Duchesne had 13 points, six rebounds, three assists, and five steals against Anna Maria. On Saturday against Wentworth, Duchesne poured in another 25 points to go along with nine rebounds, five assists and another six steals. Duchesne led the Gulls in scoring and rebounding and steals in both contests. For the week, the senior averaged 19.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, four assists, and 5.5 steals to go along with 48% shooting from the floor (13-for-27).
The Blue and Green return to action on Thursday, January 29th as they travel to Bristol, R.I. for a TCCC matchup against Roger Williams University to be played at 6:00 p.m.
