Women's Ice Hockey Dominates in Weekend Doubleheader
BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women’s ice hockey team played two key contests over the weekend. On Friday night the Gulls traveled to Keene State and came out with a dominate 11-2 victory, their first of the season. On Sunday Endicott hosted Saint Anselm’s and made a comeback to secure the 4-3 triumph. Endicott is 2-1 on the season as they look ahead to Saturday, November 15th and Sunday November 16th as they compete with Colby-Sawyer and Johnson & Wales.

Game One: Endicott at Keene State
The Gulls dominated for the entire three periods in their first road game of the season. In the first period the Blue and Green posted an impressive six goals while holding the Owls to zero. Freshman Gabby Wiggin (Lebanon, Maine) led the period with her two goals.
Freshman Erica Guider (Ridgefield, Conn.) started the scoring spree for the Gulls in the opening minutes of the period on an unassisted goal, for her first of the season. Freshman Gabby Boualavanh (Cape Ceddick, Maine) freshman Sarah Ellis (Weymouth, Mass.) each followed with a pair of quick goals in a one minute span.
To wrap up the period, Wiggin and sophomore Martha Crowley (Leicester, Mass.) combined for three goals to take a 6-0 lead entering the first intermission.
The second period saw three more Endicott goals while the Owls finally battled back and scored two of their own. At 14:43 the Owls tallied their first goal of the game to cut the lead down to five but three minutes later freshman Alyson Alissi (West Hartford, Conn.) would kick the lead back up with her first goal of the season as she started a short scoring spree. Alissi followed her first goal with the team's eighth goal six seconds later. Endicott would tally the final goal of the second just another 17 seconds later after sophomore Katie Saunders (Barrington, R.I.) gave the Blue and Green a 9-2 lead entering the second intermission.
In the third period Endicott would score just two more goals as they charged to an 11-2 victory in their first triumph of the season.
Game Two: Endicott vs. Saint Anselm's
In game two of the weekend the Blue and Green were fired up after their first victory of the season on Friday. The first period was controlled by the Hawks as they took a two goal lead before the first intermission.
In the second period Endicott came out of the gates firing as they tallied two goals and held the Hawks to zero to tie up the game. The first goal came from senior Samantha Parr (Dedham, Mass.) as she raced to goal and beat the Hawks defense to make it a 2-1 score. At the five minute mark the Blue and Green earned the game tying goal as freshman Caroline Robarge (Wilmington, Mass.) made a play to goal with Alissi on a power play to close out the period at a 2-2 stalemate.
To start off the third period Parr would tally her second goal of the game with help from Crowley to take the one goal advantage. The lead would not last for long as the Hawks countered back to bump the score back up to 4-4.
Just over one minute later at 13:12 the Gulls tallied the game winner as freshman Sara Ellis (Weymouth, Mass.) made a combo play to goal with junior Lindsey Sneider (Gorham, Maine) to beat the Saint Anselm's defense to secure the 4-3 victory.
Senior goaltender Taylor Witham (Cumberland, Maine) wrapped up the game with 36 total saves in her second victory of the season.
