Teneal Perry Named CHC Co-Rookie Of The Week

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott freshman forward Teneal Perry (Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada) has earned Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) Co-Rookie of the Week honors, as announced by the league office earlier today. Perry shares the honor with Morrisville State freshman forward Stephanie Strymecki. Perry's teammate, Vendela Jonsson (Linkoping, Sweden) was also named to the CHC Honor Roll.

In a 2-0-0 week versus Salem State, Perry registered the first-ever hat-trick in program history in game one of the weekend series on Friday, and also added an assist in the final regular season game of the year on Saturday.

Jonsson posted a 2-0 record, one shutout, and 33 saves (.971) in a pair of games against Salem State on the week. In game one of the weekend series on Friday, Jonsson stopped 16 shots and allowed one goal, while on Saturday, the freshman netminder recorded 17 saves in a 2-0 shutout win for the Gulls. It was her seventh shutout this season.

The Endicott women's ice hockey team has earned the No. 2 seed and an automatic bye into the semifinal round of the upcoming Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) Tournament after posting an 11-1-2 record in league play this season.

Endicott will travel to Stevenson University (13-0-1) on March 5 to play the highest remaining seed left in the tournament after the conclusion of the quarterfinal round. The matchups in the quarterfinal round include No. 3 Morrisville State (9-3-2) vs. No. 6 Johnson & Wales (4-10-0), and No. 4 SUNY Canton (7-6-1) vs. No. 5 Becker (5-9-0).

With its 13-0-1 record, Stevenson University claimed the conference's inaugural regular season title, an automatic bye into the semifinal round, and, most importantly, the right to host the semifinal and final rounds at home. The Mustangs will play the lowest remaining seed from the quarterfinal round in the semis on March 5.
