PAWTUCKET, R.I. — The No. 11 Endicott women's ice hockey team defeated Johnson & Wales, 2-0, on Saturday night in conference action at Lynch Arena.
Samantha Fantasia (Billerica, Mass.) and Teaghan Hall (West Springfield, Mass.) scored 1:40 apart in the second (8:06, 9:46) to take a commanding 2-0 lead halfway through the game.
The Gulls' defense took care of the rest, as Lauren Ferrari (Bridgewater, N.J.) stopped 20 shots, including 11 in the third period, for her third career shutout (6-1-1 overall).
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott is 8-0-1 all-time against the Wildcats.
- Fantasia played in her 100th career game (tied 10th all-time in program history).
- She also potted her 14th career game-winner (4th this season, 2nd all-time).
