BEVERLY, Mass. – The No. 10 Endicott women's ice hockey team defeated the University of New England, 2-0, in Conference of New England (CNE) action Saturday afternoon at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.
Teaghan Hall (West Springfield, Mass.) got the scoring started early after tipping home the puck from Lilly Corso (Winchester, Mass.) at the 12:30 mark to give the Gulls an early 1-0 lead.
Later that period, Ella Rago (Westford, Mass.) found the back of the net following a scramble in front of the net off a Maddie DiNardo (Topsfield, Mass.) shot to give the Blue and Green an insurance goal with 2:17 to play making it 2-0.
In goal, Lauren Ferrari (Bridgewater, N.J.) stopped 25 shots for her seventh career shutout (third this season). The sophomore stopped 16 shots over the final two periods to keep the Nor'easters off the scoreboard after the Blue and Green took the 1-0 lead.
BEYOND THE BOX
- Endicott is now 19-3-0 all-time against UNE.
- Hall's 36th career goal is now tied for fifth all-time.
- Eighth game this season with 25 or more saves for Ferrari.
- Corso logged her fifth assist of the year.
- Rago registered her third goal of the season (ninth career).
