Moritz Named CNE Goalie of the Week
BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott women's ice hockey goalie Casey Moritz (Trophy Club, Texas) has been named the Conference of New England (CNE) Goalie of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
In Endicott's 1-0 win over Johnson & Wales on Friday night, Moritz made 31 saves to collect her fifth win of the season.
With the Gulls leading 1-0 going to the third period, the senior stopped 17 Wildcat shots to keep them off the scoreboard and secure the home win. The game was also her fourth this season with 30 or more saves.
The honor is Moritz's ninth career Goalie of the Week selection and second this season (1/26).
