Katie Schenk (Southbury, Conn.) and Katy Garvin (Mansfield, Mass.) paced the offense with four goals apiece.
The Gulls also saw Katie Wagner (Brewster, N.Y.), Mia Smith (Portsmouth, N.H.), Alex Palermo (Reading, Mass.), and Carly Pierce (Exeter, N.H.) all find the back of the net once.
In goal, Lydia Akins (Edina, Minn.) stopped nine shots in the setback (2-1).
Trailing 10-6 at the end of the third, the Gulls responded with a 5-2 run two-thirds through the final stanza to bring the game within one goal.
Garvin highlighted the offensive spurt with a hat trick (free position, 10:06; 7:54, 6:40), while Pierce (12:51, free position) and Smith (5:52) bookended the surge.
MIT answered with a tally of its own at 4:12 to make it 13-11 before a Palermo marker at 2:42 and a free position attempt with 30-seconds to play nearly sent the game into overtime.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott is 9-6 all-time against MIT.
- The Engineers snapped a four-game losing skid against the Gulls, which dates back to 3/16/18.
- MIT is 3-0 at home this season.
- Shenk (tied career-high) and Garvin both set new season-highs for goals scored.
