BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's lacrosse team fell to No. 2 nationally ranked Wesleyan (Conn.), 18-7, on Tuesday afternoon at Hempstead Stadium.
Abbie Belleville (Salem, Conn.) and Emerson Clark (Gloucester, Mass.) both led the way for the Gulls with two goals apiece.
Leah Black (Cheshire, Conn.), Mia Samarjian (Stow, Mass.), and Clare Wendell (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) all found the back of the net once to round out the scoring.
The Cardinals raced out to a 7-0 first-quarter lead and carried that momentum for the rest of the matchup.
Meanwhile, the Gulls fought until the end as they matched the Cardinals in the fourth quarter, 3-3.
Between the pipes, Faith Minickene (Madison, Conn.) goes to 1-1 after making seven saves.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott is now 0-7 all-time against Wesleyan (Conn.)
- Mia Kaczmarek (South Burlington, Vt.) added two assists, her fourth career game with two assists.
- Clark now has two or more goals in every game she's played in this season.
- Caroline Rocco (North Grafton, Mass.) tied her career-high with a game-high five groundballs.
WHAT'S NEXT
Endicott (4-1) resumes conference play as it hosts Curry on Saturday, March 21, at 12 PM. No. 2 Wesleyan (5-0) travels to Bowdoin on Saturday, March 21, for a 12 PM conference bout.
