BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott women's rugby student-athletes Elektra Cheney (Collinsville, Conn.) and Tess Merrill (Greenwich, N.Y.) have earned National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) All-America honors, as announced by the organization.
Per the NCR website: the NCR Women's All-American program recognizes student-athletes who have earned the distinct honor of being top performers in the fall 2021 season. Recognition as an NCR All-American is a special honor that is reserved for the "best of the best."
"I'm extremely proud of Elektra and Tess. Both student-athletes came to Endicott without prior experience playing rugby but have made a tremendous impact on the program in such a short time," said Endicott women's rugby head coach Carly Baker. "Elektra and Tess were also named to CCRC All-Stars Team this past winter and were our top try scorers in the fall. They are very talented and hard working individuals and have earned these honors. I couldn't be happier for them."
