NCR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP: No. 7 Colorado School of Mines Defeats No. 1 Endicott, 38-29
HOUSTON, Texas — The No. 1 Endicott women's rugby team lost to No. 7 Colorado School of Mines, 38-29, in the National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) Division III 15s National Championship on Sunday afternoon at SaberCats Stadium.
Trailing 24-5 at halftime, the Gulls never wavered, mounting a furious comeback that featured 24 unanswered points to take a 29-24 lead with about 20 minutes to play.
Colorado School of Mines answered with a game-tying try and a go-ahead conversion at 72:50 before securing the victory at the 74:00 mark with a 50-yard try and conversion for the eventual 38-29 final score.
