BEVERLY, MA -- Endicott College's Paula McGinn (Lynn, MA/Lynn Classical) and Caitlin D'Amario (East Longmeadow, MA/East Longmeadow) scored less than a minute apart to commence a four-goal outburst that pushed the Gulls past Regis College, 4-0, Wednesday night at Endicott Stadium.
Endicott improved to 5-2-0 overall and 4-0-0 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference while the Pride fell to 4-3-0 (1-2-0 CCC).
McGinn, a sophomore striker, opened the scoring 12:25 into the first half with a right-footed cannon that snuck inside the left post. The junior forward D'Amario followed 57 seconds later with the first of her two consecutive tallies to double the lead.
Senior defender Katie Cederberg (Grafton, MA/Grafton) assisted on D'Amario's third goal of the season and junior defender Staci Wiencko (Pembroke, MA/Notre Dame Academy) set up D'Amario's second goal of the contest at the 19:38 mark of the first for a 3-0 EC cushion.
The Gulls rounded out the first half scoring when senior midfielder Jillian Zagura (Hudson, MA/Hudson) collected her fourth goal of the season from senior midfielder Beth Walker (Manchester, NH/Central).
Endicott, which has scored 17 goals in four CCC matches, is back in action Saturday at Endicott Stadium versus Colby-Sawyer College (3:00 p.m.).
