Oct. 6, 2008
BEVERLY, Mass. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference has named Endicott senior goalkeeper Amy Meuse (Saugus, Mass.) as the TCCC women's soccer Player of the Week, as announced by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye on Monday afternoon. Meuse, and the conference undefeated Gulls, posted a pair of shutout victories last week against Western New England College and Salve Regina University.
Endicott (8-2-1, 7-0-0 TCCC) started the week off with a 2-0 blanking against TCCC foe Western New England College. The Gulls got six saves out Meuse in the shutout effort. The Endicott senior goalkeeper also saw one half of action against Salve Regina University where she recorded three saves in a 3-0 win against the Seahawks. Endicott has posted six shutouts this season, including four in a row, and has only allowed two goals in seven conference games thus far.
Endicott looks to keep the shutout streak alive on Tuesday afternoon as the Blue and Green square-off with cross-town rival Gordon College at 3:30 p.m. in Wenham, Mass.
