Nov. 3, 2008
BEVERLY, Mass. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference women's soccer Player of the Year Caitlin Flynn (Southold, N.Y.) has been named the TCCC Player of the Week, as announced by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye on Monday.
Flynn helped lift the top-seeded Gulls past Nichols College on Saturday afternoon as she netted the game-winner in the 67th minute in a 1-0 victory over the Bison. Junior Allyson Bellemore (Manchester, N.H.) sprung Flynn with a nice pass through two defenders, putting the forward in a 1-on-1 situation with goalkeeper where she scored to the lower-right corner. The goal marked the 16th of the season for Flynn.
Endicott returns to action on Tuesday afternoon as the Gulls host cross-town rival Gordon College in The Commonwealth Coast Conference Semifinals. Game time is slated for 3:30 p.m. in Beverly, Mass.
