Three named NSCAA All-Region

Beverly, Mass. - Three members of the Endicott women’s soccer team have been named to the 2010 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Subaru NCAA Division III All-New England Region team. Senior midfielder Kayla Corbett (Danvers, Mass.), junior forward Colleen Pepin (Fairhaven, Mass.), and sophomore defender Caitlin Peters (Salem, N.H.) each earned Second Team recognition after leading the Gulls to a 17-6-2 overall record.
Kayla Corbett’s solid midfield play helped Endicott outscore opponents 71-27 in 25 games this season. The senior captain started every game for the Blue and Green and finished second on the team in goals with 12 including four game-winners. She added four assists for a total of 28 points. Corbett was named TCCC offensive player of the week in early October and was featured in the New England Women’s Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) Senior Bowl on December 4.
Colleen Pepin was a dynamic force for the TCCC’s best offense. The Gulls led the conference in shots, points (194), goals (71), and assists (52) during the 2010 campaign. Individually, Pepin led the TCCC in nearly every offensive category including shots (135), points (58), goals (25), and game-winning goals (8). The sophomore earned conference player of the week honors two times and was named ECAC offensive player of the week in early November. In addition to scoring multiple goals in six games this year, Pepin recorded four hat tricks in 25 games.
Caitlin Peters makes her second consecutive appearance on the all-region team after garnering third team recognition as a freshman. Peters served as the anchor for an Endicott defense that recorded eight shutouts in 25 games. She started 24 games and chipped in three assists from the back line.
Endicott made its tenth consecutive postseason appearance this season, falling to host Keene State in the ECAC Northeast Championship. The Gulls also played in their tenth consecutive conference championship.
