Wyrsch Named CCC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Endicott College sophomore goalkeeper Natalie Wyrsch (Dover, N.H.) was named this week’s Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. Wyrsch led the Gulls to a 2-0 record this week, including a win in their first conference match.
Wyrsch allowed just one goal Wednesday as the Gulls defeated Wellesley 3-1 on Wednesday. She then posted her second shutout of the year, the tenth of her career in a 2-0 win over Western New England University on Wednesday.
During the two games, Wyrsch made nine saves and posted a goals against average of 0.5. She has made 16 saves on the season, a .800 save percentage, while her goals against average is just a miniscule 0.8.
The Gulls will play a non-conference match on Wednesday afternoon at New England powerhouse Wheaton College. They will then travel on Saturday for a conference showdown at Curry.
