Pepin and Peters Selected to NSCAA All New England Team
December 13, 2011
KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Endicott captains Colleen Pepin (Fairhaven, Mass.) and Caitlin Peters (Salem, N.H.) were each honored by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) by being named to their All-New England Region Division III squads. The senior forward and junior defender were each selected to the Second Team at their respective positions.
Peters makes her third straight appearance on the NSCAA All-New England team. In her freshman year she was named as a member of the Third Team, while last season she made Second Team recognition. The junior central defender was named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) defensive player of the year this season and earned a First Team All-CCC nod. Her lockdown defending and on-field communication and leadership helped the Gulls to a 12-9 record and a spot in the CCC championship game.
Pepin, Endicott’s offensive juggernaut, makes her second consecutive appearance on NSCAA’s All-Region lists, after earning a Second Team spot last season. Pepin, who was recently selected to the Capital One CoSida Academic All-America team, led the Gulls with 16 goals and 36 points, scoring a team-leading six game-winning tallies.
The NSCAA recognizes the top players in each division across eight separate regions of the country. The association also honors students with All America teams and team and individual academic awards. Endicott was honored with the Academic team award for having a cumulative team GPA above 3.0.
