Women's Tennis Sweeps UMass Boston, 7-0
BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's tennis team defeated Umass Boston, 7-0, in non-conference action on Monday afternoon at the South Campus Tennis Courts.
In doubles, No. 1 Jillian Friedman (Austin, Texas) / Nadia Uzelac (Waltham, Mass.), and No. 3 Abbey Fleming (Wolfeboro, N.H.) / Amber Woods (Scarborough, Maine) both won by a score of 6-3, while Emily Leclerc (Manchester, N.H.) and Samantha Hartmann (Ho-Ho-Kus, N.J.) collected a 6-2 triumph to notch the point for the Gulls
Meanwhile in singles, Fleming cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No.6, Uzelac captured a 6-2, 6-0 victory at No. 3, and Friedman secured the overall match with a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 2.
Leclerc, Milana Montini (Southbury, Conn.), and Woods capped off the sweep with scores of (6-1, 6-2), (6-2, 6-1), and (6-2, 6-3).
