Women's Tennis Drops Hard-Fought Match Versus Roger Williams, 4-3
BRISTOL, R.I. — The Endicott women's tennis team fell to Roger Williams, 4-3, in Conference of New England (CNE) play on Wednesday afternoon.
The Hawks took the doubles point with victories at both No. 1 and No. 3, but the Gulls were victorious at No. 2 with Emily Leclerc (Manchester, N.H.) and Caroline Sutliffe (Duxbury, Mass.) winning 6-3.
In singles action, Leclerc secured the first point for Endicott at No. 1 with a sweep, 6-4, 6-3. Sutliffe added the second point for the Gulls, winning, 6-4, 6-2 at No. 3, while Nadia Uzelac (Waltham, Mass.) picked up the third point with a 6-4, 6-2 victory at No. 4 singles.
Jillian Friedman (Austin, Texas) put up a strong fight at No. 2 singles before eventually falling 5-7, 6-4, 6-2.
