Colby-Sawyer Bests Women's Tennis, 5-2
BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's tennis team lost to Colby-Sawyer, 5-2, in a Conference of New Engalnd (CNE) clash on Friday afternoon at the South Campus Tennis Courts.
Colby-Sawyer collected the doubles point after taking two out of the three matches.
In the No. 2 slot, Emily Leclerc (Manchester, N.H.) and Caroline Sutliffe (Duxbury, Mass.) registered a 6-3 victory.
In singles, Nadia Uzelac (Waltham, Mass.) battled for a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 4, while Amber Woods (Scarborough, Maine) cruised to a 6-3, 6-1 victory in the No. 6 position.
At No. 1, Leclerc grinded to bring her opponent to three sets, but fell just short, 3-6, 6-3, 6-10.

"Some points just did not go our way," said Endicott women's head coach Dejan Stankovic. "If some points went another way, the result of the match could have been very different."
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott is now 17-16 in the all-time series against the Chargers.
- The Gulls drop to 4-3 at home this season.
- Uzelac improved to 10-1 in singles play this season.
WHAT'S NEXT
Endicott (6-6, 5-4 CNE) visits Saint Joseph (Conn.) tomorrow, October 25 at 12 PM. Colby-Sawyer (9-1, 9-1 CNE) is now No. 1 in the conference and will look to prepare for the Conference of New England (CNE) playoffs.
