CNE FIRST ROUND: No. 5 Endicott, No. 4 Roger Williams Match Postponed Due To Weather (Endicott Leads 1-0)
BRISTOL, R.I. – Tuesday afternoon's Conference of New England (CNE) First Round matchup between fifth-seeded Endicott and fourth-seeded Roger Williams has been postponed due to weather ,with Endicott leading 1-0.
The Gulls captured the doubles point with victories at both No.1 and No. 3, Emily Leclerc (Manchester, N.H.) and Caroline Sutliffe (Duxbury, Mass.) registered a 6-3 win at No. 1, while Abbey Fleming (Wolfeboro, N.H.) and Amber Woods (Scarborough, Maine) pushed through a hard fought tiebreaker set at No. 3 with a 7-6 (7-5) score.
While singles action was going on, rain started falling and forced the match to be postponed.
BEYOND THE BOX
- Fleming and Woods improved to 6-1 as a double pairing this season.
- Leclerc and Sutliffe are now 2-1 this season at No. 1 doubles.
- The Blue and Green collected the doubles point this afternoon after the Hawks took the doubles point during the regular season matchup on October 15.

The two teams will resume the match tomorrow, Wednesday, October 29, back at Roger Williams with a 2 PM start.
