Professional Aspirations
Interned at Thameside OBGYN in the summer of 2017 where she shadowed a Physician's Assistant along with two Doctors... Completed a Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine internship in the summer of 2016 where she shadowed a physical therapist and worked as a physical therapist's assistant... Interned with Advantage Personal Training in the summer of 2015; she helped guide clients in their daily workouts and even had the opportunity to lead some fitness programs and learned the behind-the-scenes work it takes to own a personal training facility... Hopes to complete her semester-long internship with either the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute or at the Boston Museum of Science in the Human Life Labs... In ten years she hopes to be working as a Physician's Assistant in the field of pediatric oncology, and of course continuing on in the world of running by participating in plenty of road races
Brooke on her internship experiences:
"Shadowing a PA confirmed for me that I would love to work in the medical field, hopefully as a Physician's Assistant. This internship has taught me that there are so many different concentrations within the PA field, I could become a PA and chose to work in whichever medical environment I am most passionate about."
