Tiana Brown Claims CNE Women’s Track Rookie Of The Year Accolades

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott freshman sprinter/hurdler Tiana Brown (Nashua, N.H.) has been named the Conference of New England (CNE) Women's Track Rookie of the Year, as announced by the league office earlier today.

Brown is the third student-athlete in program history to earn the award, joining Alexa Suchy (Guilford, Conn.) and Meagan McAndrews (Amesbury, Mass.) on the exclusive list.

It marks the third year in a row the Gulls' women's track and field program has claimed the honor, with Suchy winning in 2024 and McAndrews following in 2025.

Brown's rookie campaign has been one for the record books, as the freshman sprinter/hurdler became the first student-athlete in program history to garner CNE Women's Most Outstanding Track Performer accolades at the CNE Championships two weeks ago.

Brown won the 400m hurdles (1:03.80) and placed second in the 100m dash (12.29), 100m hurdles (14.85), and 200m dash (25.71), respectively, for a total of 34 points (10 points for 1st, 8 points for 2nd).

CNE Women's Most Outstanding Track Performer is awarded to the track student-athlete who scores the most points at the conference championship meet.

Additionally, Brown became the first student-athlete in the nine-year existence of the women's track and field program to compile four individual event medals (excluding relays) at a single conference championship meet.

Student-athletes who place first (gold medalist), second (silver medalist), or third (bronze medalist) in an event earn All-Conference First Team, Second Team, and Third Team honors.

Meanwhile, Brown's efforts in the 100m dash, 200m dash, and 400m hurdles at the CNE Championship trimmed her school record times in each event (previous records: 12.34, 25.71, 1:05.32).

Brown currently ranks No. 4 in the 400m hurdles (#51 in D3), No. 6 in the 100m hurdles, and No. 12 in the 100m and 200m on the latest TFRRS DIII East Region Outdoor Performance List.
