Wiese, Norley sweep TCCC weekly honors

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott’s \#Steph Wiese\# (Higganum, Conn.) has been named The Commonwealth Coast Conference Player of the Week, while freshman \#Ashley Norley\# (Sudbury, Mass.) has been awarded TCCC Libero and Rookie of the Week honors, as announced by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye on Monday. The pair combined to help the Gulls post a 3-0 record last week to secure the No. 1 overall seed in the upcoming TCCC postseason.
Wiese averaged 3.64 kills and 3.82 digs per set and logged three consecutive double-doubles over teams that will appear in the conference playoffs. She opened the week with 18 kills and 13 digs in a 3-1 win at Gordon, and then posted 11 kills and 14 digs in a 3-1 win at Salve Regina. Wiese then closed out the regular season with 11 kills and 15 digs in a 3-0 sweep of Colby-Sawyer.
\#Ashley Norley\# averaged 4.64 digs per set to help carry the Gulls to a 3-0 weekly record against solid TCCC competition. She opened the week with 21 digs in a 3-1 win over Gordon, only to follow that with back-to-back 15-dig efforts in victories over Salve Regina (3-1) and Colby-Sawyer (3-0).
Endicott opens The Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament on Tuesday with quarterfinal play against Regis College on Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. The Gulls defeated the Pride, 3-0, in their only meeting of the season on October 13th in Beverly, Mass.
