BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's volleyball team swept Clarkson (3-0) and downed Salve Regina (3-1) on Saturday afternoon at MacDonald Gymnasium.
ENDICOTT 3, CLARKSON 0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-18)
Hadley Helenbrook (Atlanta, Ga.) led the Gulls in the first match sweep. She notched 16 kills (.414), six digs, and five service aces for the Blue and Green.
Hannah Maguire (San Jose, Calif.) dished out 36 assists and picked out seven digs, while Ava Grace Dresback (Pawcatuck, Conn.) nearly logged a double-double with a nine-kill and 13-dig performance.
Defensively, Reagan Mitchell (Overland Park, Kan.) and Abby Downs (Billerica, Mass) combined for 21 digs (12/9) on the back row.
ENDICOTT 3, SALVE REGINA 1 (17-25, 25-21, 25-12, 25-21)
In match two, the Gulls rebounded after dropping the first set. They won the next three in order, thanks again in large part to Helenbrook and Dresback in the front row.
The duo combined for 37 kills (24/13) and picked up seven digs each to lead the Gulls in the four-set victory over the Seahawks.
Maguire once again orchestrated the offense with a 48-assist performance. She added four aces, four digs, and three putaways in the four-setter.
From the back row, Downs and Mitchell combined for 22 digs (14/8) and four service aces (2/2) in the victory.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Gulls are 1-1 against Clarkson and 28-4 against Salve Regina all-time.
- The Blue and Green have won 13 consecutive matchups against Salve Regina, dating back to 10/27/15.
- First career home wins for head coach Emma Smallcomb.
- Helenbrook ranks first time all-time in program history with 4.04 kills per set.
- After today's matches, Maguire has dished out 40+ assists in four matches this season.
