Women's Volleyball Sweeps Nichols, 3-0
BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's volleyball team defeated Nichols, 3-0, by scores of 25-13, 25-11, and 25-11 in Conference of New England (CNE) action on Wednesday night at MacDonald Gymnasium.
Ava Grace Dresback (Pawcatuck, Conn.) posted a match-high 12 kills (.500) alongside five digs and four service aces to lead the Gulls.
Stephanie Moreau (Methuen, Mass.) added eight putaways on 11 swings (.545), while Hannah Maguire (San Jose, Calif.) ran the offense with 19 assists.
Defensively, Hadley Helenbrook (Atlanta, Ga) and Abby Downs (Billerica, Mass) combined for 14 digs (7/7) from the back row. Helenbrook also had four kills and five service aces.
The Blue and Green led wire-to-wire, as there were no ties or lead changes in tonight's match.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott improved to 10-0 all-time versus Nichols.
- Helenbrook tied her season-high for service aces (5).
- Endicott notched a season-high-tying 19 service aces in the contest (9/24 vs. Regis).
- The Gulls played 16 student-athletes in tonight's matchup, and eight of them had at least one kill.
- Endicott held the Bison to a -.027 hitting percentage, the lowest output for Nichols in a conference this season.
- The Blue and Green went a perfect 34-for-34 on serve-receive (Downs led team going 15-for-15).

Endicott (9-8, 3-1 CNE) hosts Babson on Friday, October 10, at 6 PM. Nichols (6-12, 1-3 CNE) hosts Roger Williams on Saturday, October 11, for a 1 PM matchup.
