Women’s Cross Country Places Third At Pop Crowell Invitational
WENHAM, Mass. – The Endicott women’s cross country team ranked third overall out of 11 teams at the Pop Crowell Invitational, hosted by Gordon College on Saturday afternoon.

Wellesley won the meet with 42 points, while Gordon (63) and Endicott (77) rounded out the top-3.
Franklin Pierce (101), Emerson (113), Wentworth (209), Regis (216), Rivier (218), Fitchburg State (225), Lesley (243), and NHTI (309) made up the remainder of the competition in the invitational.
Hannah Shepard (Keene, N.H.) led the Gulls with a fifth place finish on the 6-kilometer in 23:25.9. It marked a PR for Shepard and clocked in 31 seconds faster than her pace from last year.
Hannah Risko (Albany, N.Y.) placed seventh overall with a personal best time of 23:43.3, which also was 3:11 faster than last season's time at the Pop Crowell Invitational.
The rest of Endicott's top five was rounded out by Alexa Suchy (Guilford, Conn.) (13th, 24:40.9), Lulu Steele (Bedford, Mass.) (24th, PR of 25:46.9), and Corinne Robert (Mattapoisett, Mass.) (28th, 26:10.9).
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- The Gulls averaged a 6k time of 24:45.
- Alyson Bortz (Dover, N.H.) posted a personal best time of 26:37.2 (34th overall).
- The Blue and Green were the top team finishers at last year's Pop Crowell Invitational.

Endicott returns to action on Saturday, September 21 at the Cardinal Invitational, hosted by Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut.
