DaBoysInBlueAndGreen Named as Endicott's Inaugural Feature Fan Award Recipients
BEVERLY, Mass.- Whether it was the football game against Western New England, the field hockey CCC semifinal game against Gordon or the women’s volleyball CCC semifinal match against Salve Regina, the Gulls’ fan support has been vastly improved from years past and the reason behind the movement starts with DaBoysInBlueandGreen.
Whether it was the football game against Western New England, the field hockey CCC semifinal game against Gordon or the women’s volleyball CCC semifinal match against Salve Regina, the Gulls’ fan support has been vastly improved from years past and the reason behind the movement starts with DaBoysInBlueandGreen.
These two individuals, whose true identities remain a secret, have teamed up to create the dynamic duo that now strikes fear in the hearts of visiting teams. Whether it is via Twitter (follow them at @ECBlueandGreen) or by leading the crowd in chants and celebrations at the home sporting events, DaBoysinBlueandGreen have shown their passion and respect for everything that goes into being a Gull. That is why they have been named as the inaugural recipients of Endicott’s Featured Fan award.
With Tweets such as, “Great wins for mens basketball #tournamentchamps lets get another win tonight WBB #gullsflytogether,” to, “Those field hockey girls are seriously fantastic!! And theyre a serious problem for the rest of the #CCC not to mention the rest of the USA,” and, “Hell yea #ECFB!! Revenge victory feels so sweet! No better way to seal a game than with a nice pick! #gogulls #fieldflooded#blueandgreen,” it is easy to see their love for everything Endicott. They’ve even captured the attention of the Endicott Sports Information office (@ECGulls), women's field hockey head coach Jodi Cipolla (@CoachCips) and the assistant football coach Jason Scott (@FastBoatCoach).
These masked men have been imitated (by Coach Rowe and Coach Hutchinson at Basketball Blastoff) and duplicated (more and more of these characters have been spotted throughout the semester), but we were able to catch up with the original twosome for a few minutes to find out more about what drives the Blue and Green.

“Where have Da Boys in Blue and Green been? Why have we only seen you this year?”
Green – “We are tired of Endicott being such an easy environment to play in. Our athletes get harassed at every school they go to. We understand that Endicott holds our fans to a high standard with respect to our conduct, but we can still create an intimidating atmosphere while respecting the rules.”
Blue – “We want to get the whole campus involved at games and rally student fans to be a wild crowd. We are happy to be the ones who stand out and lead the pack – but we need crowds that make Endicott a place that our opponents hate to play.”
“What games are you most looking forward to this winter?”
Blue – “We are looking forward to CCC conference championship runs for both men’s and women’s basketball. The ‘Black the Mac’ event was a great way to start off their seasons. We are looking forward to the start of men’s volleyball season as well.”
Green – “Hosting Gordon on February 6th and overall just getting the crowd going. That will be about a week after the whole student body comes back from break and it would be great to ‘Pack the Mac’ against Gordon. That rivalry still burns deep and we want to show them that we are still the top dogs in town.”
Congratulations to DaBoysInBlueandGreen for winning the first ever Featured Fan award. We are confident that these two are the start of a great tradition in the Endicott community. All fans and athletes alike can appreciate the passion they display for everyone wearing the blue and green. Look for them at upcoming sporting events and don’t’ forget to follow them on Twitter @ECBlueandGreen.
