CCC SEMIFINALS: No. 2 Endicott Hosts No. 3 Roger Williams On Tuesday (4 PM)


BEVERLY, Mass. — The second-seeded Endicott men's lacrosse team will host third-seeded Roger Williams in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament semifinals on Tuesday, April 30 at 4 PM. Here's a preview of this week's playoff contest.


Endicott bested Roger Williams during their lone regular season meeting on April 16 by a 12-8 score at home. 

Leading 5-3 at the half, the Gulls put the game away in the third quarter via a seven-goal effort, which was highlighted by three unanswered goals from 8:40-5:51 after Roger Williams cut its deficit to 7-5 at the 10:03 mark. (RECAP | BOX SCORE) 

Meanwhile, Endicott leads the all-time series 25-5, which includes a 16-2 record at home. The Gulls also have the last nine meetings against the Hawks.

The Gulls finished the year ranked second in goals per game (14.13) and first in goals against average (GAA), at a 6.88 clip, in conference-only games this season.

Individually, Endicott's top-three point-getters include Jack Sutherland (Sudbury, Mass.), Mike Sudora (Monroe, Conn.), Ben Clark (Burnt Hills, N.Y.), and Will Clark (Burnt Hills, N.Y.). Sutherland leads the group with 45 points (32g, 13a), while Sudora has 39 points (37g, 2a) and the Clark brothers are tied for third with identical numbers of 14 goals and 16 assists for 30 points.


The Hawks rank fourth in goals per game (12.00) and third in GAA (10.38) in conference-only games this year.

Individually, Tim Mullane (Hanover, Mass.), Jude Marzec (West Islip, N.Y.), and Chris Bova (Ridgefield, Conn.) all have registered 50-plus points this season.

Mullane (32g, 21a) and Marzec (29g, 24a) are tied for first on the squad, while Bova (34g, 18a) is situated third on the squad.


The winner of Tuesday's CCC Semifinal game will take on the winner of No. 1 Western New England / No. 4 Curry on Friday, May 3 in the CCC Championship at the highest remaining seed (time to be determined later).
