Men’s Volleyball Splits Tri-Match Against Springfield & Hunter
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — The Endicott men’s volleyball team split a pair of matches against No. 3 Springfield (0-3) and Hunter (3-0) on Saturday evening at Blake Arena.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — The Endicott men's volleyball team split a pair of matches against No. 3 Springfield (0-3) and Hunter (3-0) on Saturday evening at Blake Arena.
NO. 3 SPRINGFIELD 3, ENDICOTT 0 (12-25, 18-25, 16-25)
Aidan Iacovelli (South Windsor, Conn.) led the Gulls with seven kills and five digs.
Thomas Matchett (North Smithfield, R.I.) and Jake Laborde (Brookline, N.H.) chipped in with four kills apiece, while Matty Tiernan (Bradford, R.I.) ran the offense via 18 assists.
Defensively, Adin Jepsky (San Jose, Calif.) tied for the match-high in digs with seven. Three of his digs also resulted in kills (.429).
Match one of the day featured 15 ties (7-6-2) and seven lead changes (4-3-0).
ENDICOTT 3, HUNTER 0 (25-19, 25-19, 27-25)
Iacovelli powered the offense once again with a team-high 14 kills (.417), five digs, and one block assist.
Corey Klass Jr. (Beverly, Mass.) notched seven kills (.400), while Jackson Gray (Glenmont, N.Y.) contributed six putaways (.417) to the victory.
Tiernan and Dan Battista (Bethlehem, N.Y.) split duties running the attack via 20 and 12 assists, respectively.
Jepsky posted another team-high in digs, this time with eight.
The match featured 32 ties (6-8-18) and 13 lead changes (2-2-9).
BEYOND THE BOX SCORES
- Springfield pushed its winning streak to seven straight matches with its victory over Endicott.
- The Gulls are 6-4 all-time against Hunter (three straight wins).
- Iacovelli has 12 or more kills in nine matches on the year.
- Endicott is 3-2 in neutral site matches this season.
